About me...

Most of my training has been through Polarity Healing Arts of California (Topanga, CA), the Institute of Psycho-Structural Balancing (IPSB, Culver City, CA), and the Upledger Institute (Florida).  In addition to the modalities described in detail on this site, I am also trained in Feldenkrais (Neuro-Muscular Re-Education), Jin Shin Acupressure, Wuji Qigong Energy Balancing, Chakra Balancing, Aura Clearing, and several Spiritual Healing techniques, including Theta Healing.   I also use Aromatherapy essential oils and a variety of Sound Healing instruments.

I began formal studies in the healing arts in the summer of 1997, and have maintained a private practice since the summer of 1998, but my journey along this path started much earlier.

As a child, I was always physically active ― bodysurfing, climbing trees and fences, running, and wrestling with my little brother.  I learned body mechanics in a deep, innate way.  I was also intuitive and empathic, perceptive of emotional dynamics and motivations in any situation.  I began reading fairy tales at age eight, and was drawn to the realms of the mystical.  By age eleven, I was studying astrology and reading in the areas of mythology and esoterica.

Intense emotional distress in my teenage years culminated in a powerful moment of openness and surrender, and I had my first major spiritual experience at age fifteen, with visions of sacred geometry and the energetic matrix underlying all of reality.  I viscerally experienced myself as interwoven with and one with the fabric of the universe.  That experience gave me a deep knowing, beyond faith, that all is divine.

I took a bit of a detour through college and the corporate world, and gradually started to come around to "waking up" in about 1992.  I dropped out of the corporate world in April of 1996 and began some determined soul-searching.  That led me to begin training in the healing arts, and begin receiving sessions from practitioners of all kinds of modalities, including many kinds of massage, Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Polarity, Acupuncture, Chiropractic, Network Chiropractic, Homeopathic, Shamanic, Neuro-Somatic Integration, various kinds of Spiritual Healing, EMDR, NLP, Breathwork, Rebirthing, and more.  Most of the trainings and sessions were so profound that I had deep spiritual experiences recalling the first one at age fifteen, and repeatedly found myself coming full circle.  I continue to loop around the spiral, learning and growing with each turn of the wheel.
